Reformation for Kids 2017

On Saturday, October 14th we will hold a
special outreach event called Reformation for Kids!
This year is the 500th anniversary of the beginning of
the Reformation, so we will invite children from our
congregation and community to come and hear the gospel
message of God’s free forgiveness through faith in
Jesus. Students will also learn about the importance
of this special anniversary and the blessings God
brought to the church through Martin Luther.  There
will be Bible stories, arts and crafts, and singing.
If you are able to help with this event, please speak
to Pastor Derme.

Reformation Services

On this 500th anniversary of the Reformation,
you are invited to two special opportunities to
celebrate God’s blessings. On October 29th, the annual
Sierra Circuit Reformation joint service will be at
St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Citrus Heights at 4:00.
Pastor Joshua Hanson from Christ Lutheran in Lodi will
preach. A meal will follow. Then on November 5th,
Shepherd of the Mountains will host a joint
Reformation service with The Springs at 4:00. Pastor
David Waterstradt from Hope Lutheran in Penryn and
Sierra Circuit pastor will preach. A celebration meal
and entertainment will follow. Please make plans to
attend, so that we can celebrate the full and free
forgiveness of sins together!
