Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church was founded in 1975 by a group of conservative Evangelical Lutheran Christians who were committed to the support of the preaching and teaching of the Word of God in its truth and purity. That same commitment continues to this day.
As part of its commitment to the ministry of our Lord, Shepherd of the Mountains, together with the district mission board, has called Rev. Steven Hillmer who has the primary task of leading our efforts to establish a daughter congregation in the Spanish Springs - Wingfield Springs area. We humbly ask for the Lord's blessings on these efforts.
Our church is located on the corner of Lakeside and West Peckham Lane in Reno. Worship services are conducted each Sunday morning at 9:00 am, followed by a short break for conversation and snacks. Our Sunday School classes and adult Bible study both start at 10:30 AM.
We invite anyone interested in learning more about our fellowship to come and visit us any Sunday morning. As you join us in worship and in Bible study, you will soon begin to feel the deep love and the commitment that is here for our Savior and his Word.
