This year's Holy Week schedule is as follows:

Maundy Thursday, April 13^th at 7:00 p.m.

Good Friday, April 14^th at 7:00 p.m.

Holy Saturday, April 15^th at 7:00 p.m.

Easter Sunday, April 16^th at 9:00 a.m.

Please note that Maundy Thursday service, for the first time in several years, will be held at Shepherd of the Mountains. All of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday services are at 7:00 p.m. this year. Holy Communion will be served on Maundy Thursday and Holy Saturday.

Holy Week services are excellent opportunities to invite your friends and family to come and hear the good news of the Lord's self-sacrificing love – especially Good Friday and Easter Sunday! Invite them to join us for breakfast on Sunday, as well.

• May 6- Lutheran Women's Missionary Society (L.W.M.S.) 
• Spring Rally at St. Andrew's in Sacramento.  All ladies (and men) are invited to attend.
• May 13- The Ladies of Shepherd have invited the ladies of The Springs to a Mother's Day Tea at 11a.m.  Watch for a food and attendance signup sheet.  Young ladies are invited also.
• May 20- Baby shower for Lisa Jones at the Bennett home.  All ladies are invited.

Life Line Screening is a company that performs health screenings, including carotid artery, abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral arterial disease, osteoporosis, and atrial fibrillation screening.  On March 23, they will perform their screenings in our fellowship hall, which we have offered to them as a service to our community.  As a way of thanking us for the use of our facility, they have offered us several complementary screenings for our members to use.  If you would like to receive one of these free screenings, speak to Pastor Derme.

             Ash Wednesday is March 1. On Ash Wednesday we will gather at church to confess our sins and receive the forgiveness of sins through the Word of God and Sacrament of Holy Communion. On the subsequent Wednesdays of Lent we will also gather to follow Jesus to the cross. Come to prepare your hearts!

The Sunday School students are back in the New Testament and will be learning stories from Jesus' life and ministry.  Looking ahead, the students are scheduled to sing March 12, April 2, April 9, and May 7.

                          The Fellowship Committee is planning a family activity night for Friday, February 10. Stay tuned for more information!
